Plant Head – (Manufacturing)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Head – Manufacturing to lead the full-spectrum plant operations for our high-tech manufacturing setup specializing in TVs, mobiles, and laptops. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing end-to-end operations, P&L ownership, workforce management, quality assurance, and delivery performance, while driving process excellence and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee complete plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, materials, and dispatch.
- Full ownership of P&L management, including budgeting, cost optimization, capacity utilization, and resource planning.
- Supervise and manage a cross-functional team across manufacturing lines (TV, Mobile, Laptop) with an emphasis on productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality, compliance, and safety standards across all manufacturing processes.
- Implement world-class manufacturing practices such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and Kaizen to ensure continuous improvement.
- Drive effective manpower planning, training, and performance management of shopfloor and technical staff.
- Work closely with R&D, procurement, and supply chain teams to align production schedules with delivery targets.
- Monitor and drive operational KPIs including yield, downtime, rejection rates, OTIF, and OEE.
- Provide strategic inputs for plant expansion, layout optimization, and automation roadmap.
- Maintain robust coordination with HO, business heads, and external stakeholders including licensors and OEM/ODM partners.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Industrial Engineering; Postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
- 15–22 years of proven leadership experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably with exposure to TVs, Mobile Phones, and Laptops.
- Strong exposure to electrical assembly lines, SMT, testing processes, and backward integration manufacturing models.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale teams across multiple verticals – production, QA, maintenance, and logistics.
- Sound understanding of P&L, cost controls, CapEx, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with statutory compliance, labor laws, EHS norms, and ESG practices.
- Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills with the ability to operate in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
