Pre-Sales Technical Specialist – IT Infrastructure

Job Description:

Role Overview:
We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Pre-Sales Technical Specialist to support the sales team in delivering tailored IT infrastructure solutions. The candidate will act as a technical bridge between clients and internal teams, providing guidance across networking, servers, storage, cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose suitable IT infrastructure solutions
• Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proofs-of-Concept (POCs)
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs with detailed technical inputs and solution designs
• Perform infrastructure sizing, solution design, and BoQ preparation
• Coordinate with OEMs and distributors for solution validation and pricing
• Prepare solution architecture documents, HLDs/LLDs, and compliance matrices
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in IT infrastructure
• Collaborate with delivery and support teams for smooth handover and implementation
• Build strong client relationships as a trusted technical advisor

Key Skills:

• Strong experience in IT infrastructure pre-sales or solution architecture
• Good understanding of servers, storage, virtualisation, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity
• Familiarity with enterprise OEMs like Dell, HPE, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, etc.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple proposals and work under deadlines

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in pre-sales / system engineering roles
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, MCSE, VCP, AWS/Azure, etc.) are a plus

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience handling large RFPs or government tenders
• Exposure to DR planning or business continuity strategies
• Ability to align technical solutions with business requirements
