Role Overview

As an Inside Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between engineering and sales, supporting customers with technical solutions, product recommendations, and proposal development.

This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy techno-commercial interactions, working closely with both internal teams and customers to deliver high-quality engineered solutions.


Key Responsibilities

🔹 Technical & Sales Support

  • Provide technical support and product recommendations to customers and the sales team
  • Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable engineering solutions
  • Act as a key point of contact for technical queries and solution discussions

🔹 Proposal & Quotation Management

  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and documentation
  • Ensure accuracy in specifications, pricing, and timelines
  • Coordinate with internal teams for timely submission of proposals

🔹 Engineering Coordination

  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand:
    • Product specifications
    • Customization capabilities
    • Application suitability
  • Translate technical details into customer-friendly communication

🔹 Sales Inquiry Management

  • Manage and follow up on incoming sales inquiries and leads
  • Identify customer needs and align them with suitable product offerings
  • Support the sales team in progressing opportunities toward closure

🔹 Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure:
    • Smooth communication
    • Timely execution
    • High customer satisfaction
  • Support customers from inquiry stage through order processing

🔹 Continuous Improvement & Market Awareness

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and product developments
  • Contribute to process improvements within the EPT team
  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical & Functional Skills

✔ Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
✔ Understanding of industrial products / process equipment
✔ Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
✔ Exposure to techno-commercial roles (preferred)


Core Competencies

✔ Excellent communication (verbal & written)
✔ Ability to simplify complex technical information for customers
✔ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
✔ Customer-focused and solution-oriented approach


Tools & Systems

✔ Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce / HubSpot or similar)
✔ Strong command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Preferred Candidate Background

Candidates with experience in:

  • Industrial equipment / filtration / screening solutions
  • Process industries (Chemical, Water Treatment, Mining, etc.)
  • Engineering sales support / application engineering

will be highly preferred.
