Job Description:

Industry: Service Industry / Accounting / KPO
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Finance Controller/VP–F&A to lead our finance operations. This leadership role demands deep financial expertise, a strong grasp of regulatory compliance, and a track record of driving business performance in a KPO or service-driven global environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, optimizing systems and processes, and delivering actionable insights to support the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end finance and accounting operations, including Billing, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, revenue recognition, and cost accounting.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in line with statutory and management requirements.
  • Develop and manage company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Ensure adherence to Ind AS, Direct and Indirect Taxation, and Corporate Law compliance.
  • Manage treasury functions, cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
  • Design and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure audit readiness.
  • Monitor financial performance through operational metrics and provide data-driven insights to leadership.
  • Oversee external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)—Mandatory, Inter-CA, CPA

Experience & Expertise:

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience
  • Proven leadership in a KPO, Global Delivery, or Service industry environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, US GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Familiarity with US tax laws, SEC compliance, SOX regulations, and transfer pricing frameworks.
  • Experience managing large finance teams and working with Big 4 firms.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic financial planning, governance, and stakeholder management.

Core Competencies:

  • Corporate Finance & Treasury: Capital structure, funding strategies, working capital, and investor relations
  • Tax Strategy & Compliance: Multijurisdictional tax planning, optimization, and risk management
  • Financial Reporting & Audit: Consolidated reporting, statutory compliance, and audit coordination
  • Risk Management: Financial risk frameworks, forex hedging, and internal control systems
  • Business Analytics: KPI development, cost optimization, and performance analysis
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling
  • ERP & Tech Integration: SAP, Oracle, Tally, BI tools, and financial automation platforms
  • Costing & Profitability: Activity-based costing, margin optimization, and project profitability tracking

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in client billing models, especially for project- or service-based contracts
  • Exposure to public company financial reporting standards
  • Understanding of cross-border taxation and international finance operations
