Job Description:

The primary objective of the Assistant Sales Manager – Water Well Sales is to support the growth and development of the company’s Water Well Screens business across the assigned territory.

The role focuses on business development, expanding the dealer/distributor network, generating sales, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, drilling contractors, and government agencies.

The position requires technical understanding of groundwater and hydrology, strong sales capabilities, and close coordination with internal sales and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are effectively met.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the company’s Water Well Screens business in the assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the groundwater and water infrastructure sector.
  • Appoint and develop new dealers and distributors to expand market coverage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, drilling contractors, EPC companies, and government authorities.
  • Generate sales by promoting the company’s Water Well Screen products and related solutions.
  • Coordinate closely with the internal sales team and technical team to ensure timely quotation, order processing, and delivery.
  • Liaise with consultants, hydrologists, and project stakeholders to promote product specifications in project tenders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new project opportunities in the groundwater sector.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Support marketing initiatives including technical presentations, seminars, and product demonstrations.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales opportunities, and project updates in the CRM system.

Key Requirements

  • Knowledge of groundwater applications and hydrology.
  • Ability to build relationships with consultants, contractors, distributors, and government officials.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with internal teams.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Essential

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Civil / Environmental / related discipline preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in the water sector or groundwater industry.
  • Experience in sales, business development, and channel partner management.
  • Strong knowledge of hydrology or groundwater-related applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

 Preferred

  • Experience in water well screens, groundwater equipment, or water infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working with consultants, drilling contractors, and government water authorities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
