Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and agile Project Management Officer (PMO) to serve as a strategic link between the Head Office and on-site project teams. The incumbent will be responsible for driving operational coordination, project governance, financial tracking, and ensuring the smooth execution of solar projects across multiple sites.

This role demands a professional who can work in a fast-paced environment, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and provide end-to-end visibility on project performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Coordination & Oversight
  • Act as a single point of contact between Head Office, Site Teams, and Vendors.
  • Monitor and report progress across all project phases—planning, execution, and completion.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Facilitate regular project review meetings and track action items to closure.
  1. Operations & Governance
  • Oversee day-to-day project operations, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, trackers, and MIS reports.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and internal SOPs.
  1. Financial & Payment Coordination
  • Track vendor invoices, purchase orders, and project-related payments.
  • Coordinate with finance and procurement teams to ensure timely disbursements.
  • Maintain transparent financial records and highlight any deviations or delays.
  1. Cross-Functional Communication
  • Bridge information flow between technical, procurement, and execution teams.
  • Escalate critical project issues to management with recommended solutions.
  • Provide management with a bird’s-eye view of overall project status and resource utilisation.
  1. Site Travel & Monitoring
  • Conduct periodic visits to project sites to review on-ground progress.
  • Validate adherence to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Support site teams in resolving operational bottlenecks.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Project Management / related discipline (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in project management within the solar or EPC industry.
  • Strong understanding of project coordination, cost tracking, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project locations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
