Job Description:

 

Role Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will lead and support the migration of our infrastructure to
Kubernetes across cloud and local environments while designing, building, and maintaining our
Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and on-premise infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with
engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure reliable deployments, high availability, strong
security controls, and robust CI/CD practices. This role suits someone who takes ownership of
platform reliability, scalability, and long-term infrastructure evolution.

Key Responsibilities:
● Manage, architect, and optimize cloud and on-premise infrastructure with a Kubernetes-first strategy.
● Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient systems across cloud environments.
● Own and operate CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments, ensuring reliable and automated releases.
● Manage container orchestration and workloads using Kubernetes, including cluster operations and upgrades.
● Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools for cloud resource management.
● Monitor cloud and Kubernetes system health, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
● Ensure strong cloud security practices, including IAM, secrets management, network policies, and compliance controls.
● Automate cloud deployments, scaling, failover, and incident response workflows.
● Collaborate with backend, QA, and product teams to support release planning and execution.
● Troubleshoot cloud production issues, lead root-cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.

Required Qualifications:
● 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles (Google, Oracle, AWS).
● Good experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including Compute Instances, OKE (Oracle Kubernetes Engine),
Object Storage, Functions, IAM, VCN, Monitoring, and OCI Databases.
● Strong expertise in Kubernetes (OKE preferred), Docker, Helm, and cluster administration in production environments.
● Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
● Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.

● Experience implementing and managing:
○ Ingress controllers (NGINX, Traefik, Cloud Load Balancers)
○ Dynamic DNS and wildcard subdomains
○ Blue-green and canary deployment strategies

● Strong understanding of:
○ Microservices architecture, APIs, networking, and cloud security best practices
○ Environment isolation strategies (dev, UAT, staging, production)
○ Secure database connectivity (read-only access, restricted IPs, proxies/bastions)
○ Kubernetes scaling, autoscaling (HPA/VPA), and resource management

● Proficiency in Linux system administration, shell scripting, troubleshooting, and automation.
● Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana,ELK/EFK, OCI Monitoring).
● Familiarity with incident management, on-call support, root cause analysis (RCA), and reliability practices
