Sales Engineer (After Market)
Job Description:
Role Objective
To develop and grow the aftermarket business across India by working closely with OEM customers and channel partners, driving enquiry generation, order conversion, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Sales
- Develop aftermarket business with OEMs and channel partners across assigned regions
- Generate enquiries, prepare proposals, and convert them into orders
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as per the business plan
Customer & Channel Management
- Manage relationships with existing OEM customers and develop new accounts
- Appoint, support, and manage channel partners/distributors for aftermarket sales
- Conduct regular customer and channel visits across India
Order Management & Coordination
- Coordinate internally with engineering, costing, production, and dispatch teams
- Ensure timely order processing, delivery, and payment follow-up
- Handle SAP/ERP entries as per customer and order requirements
Reporting & Planning
- Prepare sales MIS, forecasts, and market development reports
- Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer feedback
- Support management in business planning and territory development
After-Sales & Customer Support
- Act as the first point of contact for aftermarket requirements
- Support service teams for spares, replacements, and repeat business
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term relationship building
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good commercial and negotiation ability
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM and ERP/SAP systems
- Willingness to travel extensively across India
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently
Preferred Background
- Experience in developing channel partners , Industrial products , Hydraulics, or engineering components
- Prior exposure to OEM and distributor-driven sales models
Qualification & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3-year full-time)
- Experience: 3–5 years in industrial sales
- Exposure to aftermarket sales, OEM customers, and channel partners will be preferred
