Transportation Expert (Government Urban Local Body)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Transportation Expert with 5+ years of experience to oversee and optimize  transportation systems. The role involves planning, managing, and improving public transport infrastructure, traffic flow, and mobility solutions to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable urban transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transportation plans for roads, public transit, and traffic management.

• Conduct studies on traffic flow, congestion, and urban mobility to recommend improvements.

• Collaborate with engineering, planning, and public works departments for integrated solutions.

• Oversee transport infrastructure projects including roads, bus depots, and transit systems.

• Ensure compliance with municipal, state, and national transportation regulations.

• Prepare reports, maps, and documentation for transport planning and audits.

• Coordinate with external agencies, contractors, and vendors for project execution.

• Promote sustainable mobility solutions such as non-motorized transport and smart traffic systems.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in transportation planning and management.

• Minimum 3 years of Experience in Transportation Project.

• Strong knowledge of traffic engineering, urban mobility, and public transport systems.

• Proficiency in transport modeling tools, GIS, and project management software.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

• Experience in public sector or municipal projects preferred.
