Job Description:

 

 

Qualification Requirements:

  • BE in Mechanical / Electrical OR

  • Post Graduate in Environmental Science with:

    • Post Diploma in Industrial Safety OR

    • Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized State Regional Labor Institute


Experience Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and ESG compliance

  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is mandatory


Role Objective:

To ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of HSE systems, regulatory compliance, and ESG practices across the plant.


Key Responsibilities:

HSE Systems & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain HSE management systems including policies, procedures, and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and corporate HSE requirements (GPCB, DISH, PESO, etc.)

  • Maintain statutory records such as CTE, CCA, Hazardous Waste Returns, Environmental Statements, etc.

  • Prepare and manage compliance calendars for regulatory submissions

Environmental Management

  • Monitor Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems, including ETP/STP operations

  • Oversee waste management: hazardous, biomedical, e-waste, and plastic waste disposal

  • Ensure adherence to environmental norms and audit requirements

ESG & Corporate Alignment

  • Drive ESG initiatives and ensure compliance

  • Collaborate with corporate teams for HSE alignment and continuous improvement

Audits & Risk Management

  • Conduct internal HSE audits, inspections, and safety committee meetings

  • Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, and workplace safety evaluations

  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents, accidents, and near misses

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct HSE training programs for employees and contractors

  • Promote a strong safety culture across the organization

Emergency Preparedness

  • Manage site emergency plans and conduct mock drills

  • Oversee fire safety systems including extinguishers, hydrants, and alarms

Health & Safety Operations

  • Maintain Occupational Health Center (OHC) in coordination with Factory Medical Officer

  • Implement and manage work permit systems, including contractor safety

Project Safety

  • Ensure safety compliance in plant expansions and project execution

Budgeting & Miscellaneous

  • Prepare and manage HSE budgets

  • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned
