Business Development - Asst. Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Business Development with 5+ years of experience in the AEC, BIM industry to drive business growth in the USA market. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to manage client relationships, oversee the sales pipeline, and mentor a team of Business Development Associates (BDAs). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of BIM solutions, contract negotiation, and business strategy to support the company’s expansion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Sales Process Management
o Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the pre-sales phase, handling RFPs, tenders, and bid submissions.
o Negotiate contracts and close deals with a focus on securing favourable terms.
o Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
2. Market Expansion & Strategy Development
o Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities in the European BIM industry.
o Develop sales strategies to penetrate new markets and increase revenue.
o Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging BIM technologies to stay ahead.
3. Team Leadership & Mentorship
o Manage and guide Business Development Associates (BDAs), ensuring their growth and performance in lead generation and client acquisition.
o Provide sales training and support, helping team members enhance their skills.
o Audit sales proposals, agreements, and engagement terms before client submission.
4. Operational & Business Support
o Ensure the seamless transition from sales to project execution, coordinating between clients and internal teams.
o Oversee the review of purchase orders, contracts, and sales agreements.
o Audit commercial proposals to maintain accuracy and profitability.
o Maintain CRM records and ensure proper database management.
5. Marketing & Outreach
o Establish and nurture connections with key industry players through social media and networking events.
o Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and business forums to build brand awareness.
Key Skills & Competencies
• 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the BIM/CAD domain.
• Strong understanding of BIM solutions and their applications in the AEC industry.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills to engage with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office.
• Ability to develop and implement sales strategies for revenue growth.
• Strong market research and competitor analysis skills.
• Knowledge of US business practices and AEC industry trends
