Job Description:
Duties
- Analyzing work orders, engineering plans, specifications, and blueprints to plan machining
- Interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances)
- Writing and interpreting CNC machine language/programming
- Setting up lathes and creating setup instructions
- Creating tooling fixtures for prototypes
- Partnering with Engineering on tooling design, process improvements, and product introduction
- Verifying settings inspecting, and submitting first article to quality department
- Collecting data and documenting/logging actions
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience working with CNC Machines in similar roles
- Able to read blueprints
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing machine tooling and measurement equipment such as lathes, mills, calipers, etc
- Experience in CNC (G&M) Programming Code
- Swiss style machine programming experience preferable
- 5S or Lean Manufacturing Certificate and CNC Programming/Machinist Certificate preferred but not required
- HS Diploma or equivalent
