About the Job
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong backend focus to build and scale robust marine software systems. The role emphasizes Java, Spring Boot, messaging systems, databases, and cloud architecture, while collaborating closely with frontend teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build scalable and secure REST APIs and asynchronous systems
- Implement and manage messaging systems using RabbitMQ
- Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases
- Work with high-volume and time-series data
- Deploy services using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure observability, monitoring, and system reliability
- Collaborate with frontend teams and review UI integrations
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of backend development experience
- Enterprise-level experience with Java/Spring Boot
- Experience working on Windows and Linux
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Java (17+) & Spring Boot
- REST APIs, async messaging, and event-driven architectures
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ
- Strong PostgreSQL skills (schema design, indexing, tuning)
- Experience with time-series databases (TimescaleDB or similar)
- Cloud platforms: AWS and/or GCP
- Docker and containerized deployments
- CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
- Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Understanding of frontend tech (React/TypeScript)
Nice to Have
- Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)
- Offline or air-gapped deployments
- API contract testing experience
