Design Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in CAD design and manufacturing engineering. The candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, developing design solutions, and supporting manufacturing and fabrication activities.
This role provides an opportunity to work in a fast-growing and multicultural engineering environment with exposure to international projects and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare 2D/3D models and engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
Develop GA drawings, fabrication drawings, layouts, and sub-assembly drawings.
Coordinate with clients to understand design requirements and implement revisions.
Prepare manufacturing packages including weld maps, sheet metal layouts, and fabrication details.
Perform engineering calculations and basic design analysis as per industry standards.
Support production and fabrication teams with technical inputs and clarifications.
Ensure timely delivery of design documents while maintaining quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different locations and time zones.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Design Engineering within the manufacturing industry.
Strong hands-on experience in:
AutoCAD
Autodesk Inventor
MS Excel
Good understanding of:
Sheet metal design
Welding & fabrication processes
GD&T, fits & tolerances
Manufacturing standards
Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of iLogic, MathCAD, ANSYS Fluent, SAP/ERP tools.
• Exposure to DFM (Design for Manufacturing) concepts.
• Experience in structural or fluid design calculations will be an added advantage.

Preferred Industry

Manufacturing, Fabrication, Heavy Engineering, Industrial Equipment, or Mechanical Engineering companies.
