US Business Tax Preparer
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Prepare US partnership and corporate income tax returns, including Form 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
• Handle a return mix of approximately 60% Partnerships (1065), 30% S-Corporations (1120S), and 10% C-Corporations (1120).
• Organize workpapers, maintain open-item lists, and conduct self-review before submitting work for review.
• Provide technical assistance, tax planning, and research on US income tax matters.
• Develop and communicate appropriate solutions when identifying tax-related issues.
• Keep clients informed about tax developments that may affect their business.
• Develop an understanding of the Firm’s services and identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing and new clients.
• Stay updated on tax changes and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and policies, including timely time entry.
• Actively prepare for and pursue the CPA examination until successful completion.
• Maintain required CPE and meet Firm and licensing standards.
Must-Have Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in US Business Tax Return Preparation.
• Strong hands-on experience with 1065, 1120, and 1120S returns.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tax preparation work independently.
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
• Experience preparing Trust Returns (1041).
• Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• US CPA certification.
• Indian CA qualification.
Work Timings:
Non-Busy Season: 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM IST
Busy Season: 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM IST
