Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, and run day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Drive the development of lean manufacturing processes to include; continuous improvement, standard work, problem-solving, value stream mapping, training and employee involvement.
- Lead, teach, and coach employees at all levels on lean manufacturing processes.
- Own and facilitate the development of the site implementation plan for the lean manufacturing operating system.
- Lead continuous improvement events resulting in employee skill and knowledge development and KPI performance improvements.
- Using tracking and reporting systems prepares plans, drives performance, and assures timely completion and achievement of product/process quality and savings goals.
- Analyze production operations and initiate corrective actions to ensure efficient production flow.
- Assist in the new product development process.
- Increasing production, assets, capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Ensure staffing of plant to meet production levels and goals.
- Coordinate capital expenditures and project completion.
- Effectively manage and develop the skills and capabilities of the plant employees.
- Develops and implements specific plant policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification strongly preferred.
- 3-5 or more years of related experience with the increasing scope of responsibility, with 5 or more years in plant leadership.
- Budgeting, strategic planning, and resource allocation experience.
