Job Description:

Position: Junior Statistician

Experience: 1 to 3 years

Location: Ahmedabad

Responsibilities for Statistician:

• Refer to previous instances and findings to determine the ideal method for gathering data related to stock and commodity market.
• Research problem and determine the data required to answer specific questions and problems.
• Testing of different stock trading strategies on different statistical models.
• Developing quantitative and statistical model to trade stocks and commodities.
• Developing complex quantitative and statistical model to trade futures and options market.
• Train & assistant other members of the team on how to properly organize findings and read data collected.
• Prepare detailed reports for management and other departments by analyzing and interpreting data.
• Define and utilize statistical methods to create robust stock & commodity trading strategies.
• Compare and analyse provided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships and problems.
• Apply sampling techniques to effectively determine and define ideal categories to be questioned.

Qualifications for Statistician:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics or related field
• Strong Mathematics, Statistical  and Analytical skills are essential to complete job requirements successfully
• Able to compile and organize statistical information retrieved and present findings to management
• Ability to work with complex and logical data collection and interpretation.
• Knowledge of statistical ratios for financial market and their use in decision making process.
• Knowledge of different statistical decision making models for financial market.
• Knowledge of stock market operations and trading will be an advantage.
• Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software. (like Ms-Excel, SQL, Python, R).
• Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies.
