Key Accounts Manager (Manager )- Guwahati
Job Description:
The position requires an individual to develop and own a portfolio. The individual has to build a portfolio of Petroleum/ Petrochemicals/ Energy/ EPC clients. The position demands ownership in accessing the right Customers, onboarding, nurturing and converting them into key accounts. The desired candidate must have some understanding of the target industry and have a keen interest to learn the business and requirements of the customers.
This is a hands-on role where the candidate will spend bulk of his/her time with clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Hunting: Identify and onboard the right customers after assessing risks and opportunities.
- Account Management: Manage every aspect of the customer’s engagement with the company. Farm the account and become the preferred strategic partner of the clients for their procurement requirements.
- Ensure that a reliable and quality supplier base is developed to service the customers.
- Plan, execute and monitor the sales operations with the objective of attaining accelerated growth.
- Ensuring 100% fulfillment rate for all orders and adherence to customer’s product specifications.
- Program managing cross functionally to ensure adherence to SLAs. Supporting and leading various marketing activities from time to time.
- Ensuring 100% compliance on taxation, account receivables and payables
- Be the custodian of the brand for the portfolio and ensure proper brand positioning and goodwill.

Educational qualifications:
- Required: E. / BTech (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Production, Petroleum)
- Desirable: MBA (Tier2/Tier3)
Work experience:
- Candidates should have a proven track record of achieving high growth in a B2B company. Should have managed a monthly sales of 1cr or more.
- Should have coordinated with senior executives of clients.
Years of experience: 5 to 8
- Preferred Industry: Energy, Manufacturing, Industrial Products
Required/preferred knowledge:
- Candidates with prior knowledge of the industry would be preferred.
- Candidates who can speak Assamese would be preferred.
