Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of the firm’s office in India.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing day to day operational activities, including human resources, and accounting processes.  The Business Manager will possess strong communication skills in both the technical space of accounting, as well as people skills to manage and mentor the employees.  Ultimately, this person will be responsible for the success of the Company's office in India.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Execute the strategic vision and goals of the India practice
  • Manage all operational activities, including facilities, human resources, and accounting processes
  • Responsible for recruiting, leading, managing, mentoring, and developing employees
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with  the leadership
  • Liaison between India and US office
  • Develop, collaborate, and execute business strategy for India operations
  • Ensure the work facility is safe, secure and in compliance with India regulations
  • Point person for resolution of issues and questions
  • Display the highest level of professionalism, ethical behavior, and integrity
  • Responsible for client communication and able to assist with technical expertise in assurance and tax related questions

 

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Experience in public accounting (eg., doing tax forms and audits) as opposed to general candidates with FP&A experience
  • Managed a team of at least ten employees in the last 2+ years
  • Experience working/communicating with American and European clients – strong preference
  • US GAAP working knowledge is a must have 
  • 15+ years’ proven experience in Management role
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Professional Services experience required
  • Technically proficient in assurance and/or US Tax preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal
