Job Description:

A Business Development Manager or Bid Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities that can help a company grow and expand its client base. In the context of Upwork and Freelancer portals, their job responsibilities would include:

  1. Identifying potential clients: The Business Development Manager/Bid Manager will be responsible for identifying potential clients on Upwork and Freelancer portals who may require the services offered by the company.

  2. Developing proposals: They will develop proposals in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs) or requests for quotes (RFQs). They will work with the technical and delivery teams to ensure that the proposal meets the client's needs and is feasible.

  3. Managing the bidding process: They will manage the entire bidding process, including the submission of the proposal, negotiating terms and conditions, and following up with the client.

  4. Building relationships with clients: They will establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients. This includes staying in touch with clients after the project is completed to ensure their satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

  6. Collaborating with internal teams: They will work closely with internal teams, including the technical and delivery teams, to ensure that proposals are accurate and feasible.
