Job Description:
As a PHP Lead, you are required to have well-established experience in overhauling and reorganizing complex software projects and modules. Your role will encompass revitalizing the current codebase for enhanced efficiency and maintainability, as well as rearchitecting software infrastructure as needed to keep pace with changing business needs or technological progress. A deep understanding of PHP programming is a must, coupled with an ability to identify and optimize areas for improved code organization. Your leadership, problem-solving prowess, and technical know-how will be pivotal in steering projects toward their successful completion, ensuring our software offerings maintain their top-tier quality.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage a team of PHP developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and quality assurance, to develop and implement high-quality web applications.
- Design and architect scalable and efficient PHP solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
- Actively participate in coding and development activities, leveraging your in-depth PHP technical expertise.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to PHP applications.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve development processes and drive innovation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, promoting knowledge sharing and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Monitor team performance, track project progress, and report key metrics to management.
What you’ll bring:
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience in PHP development, with a focus on web application development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, including frameworks such as Laravel, Zend, or CodeIgniter.
- In-depth knowledge of database concepts and experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Proven hands-on coding experience and ability to contribute to development tasks.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Excellent understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in the refactoring and restructuring of PHP based projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and debug complex issues in PHP applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
