Senior Tax Specialist

Job Description:

We seek a qualified and motivated person to join our team as a Senior Tax Specialist. This position is unique because our company is technology-focused and will leverage technology to deliver best-in-class service for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Federal and State 1065 Partnership returns for real estate syndications and funds
• Prepare K-1s and assist with investor inquiries
• Maintain depreciation, amortization and member basis schedules
• Identify necessary book-to-tax adjustments
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information for tax filings
• Conduct tax research and provide recommendations to clients on tax planning strategies
• Review financial statements and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Lead and manage a team of 2 to 5 accountants

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role
• Real Estate experience highly preferred
• CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Proficient in using tax software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
