Export Documentation Specialist

Job Description:

Job Purpose: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Export Documentation Specialist to join our team. The Export Documentation Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and preparing all documentation required for international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of export procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare export documentation:

• Coordinate with various departments to gather the necessary information for export documents.
• Generate and verify the accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required export documents.
• Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and company policies.

• Customs Compliance:

• Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate customs clearance processes.
• Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and trade laws to ensure compliance.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to documentation and customs clearance.

• Shipment Coordination:

• Arrange and monitor shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers and freight forwarders to optimize logistics.

• Communication and coordination:

• Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external partners regarding shipment status and documentation requirements.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and provide the necessary documentation support.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Requisite Skills: 

• Advance Excel for MIS reports
• Knowledge of Prevailing Custom Rules and Regulations
• Should be willing to travel occasionally to the port
• Should be systematic in document filing.
• Good Verbal & Written communication.
• Having experience of functional ERP
