Job Description:

Purpose of the job:

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring efficient coordination between our sales, logistics, and service centre departments to ensure timely processing and dispatch of inventory to our valued customers. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing streamlined processes at our service centre while maintaining a sharp focus on all the operational metrics.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1.Operational Efficiency:

  • Analyze existing operational processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and scalability across operations
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

2. Facility Setup and Expansion:

  • Lead the planning and execution of new facility setup projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design operational workflows and layouts for maximum efficiency across Own and 3P Service centres.
  • Oversee capacity expansion projects to meet evolving business demands and customer requirements

3. Technology Implementation and Automation : 

  • Evaluate, select, and implement technology solutions to streamline operations, including ERP systems, automation tools, and data analytics platforms 
  • Drive adoption of Industry 4.0 practices, such as IoT, predictive maintenance, and AI-driven insights, to future-proof operations. 
  • Work with IT/Product and external vendors to ensure smooth integration of new technologies into existing workflows.

4. Process Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the order management process and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements for better operational efficiency

5. Long Term Capacity Planning and Stability: 

  • Develop and execute a 5-year operational roadmap that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals. 
  • Conduct capacity planning analyses to ensure the business can meet future demand effectively. 
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual processes and increase throughput.

6. Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management 

  • Collaborate with leadership, operations, and engineering teams to align improvement initiatives with organizational goals. 
  • Drive change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions during process changes or technology implementation. 
  • Communicate project progress and results to stakeholders through regular updates and reports.

Who can apply:

  • Min 5-7 years of proven experience in operational excellence, process improvement or preferably in a B2C/B2B Operations environment. 
  • Strong inclination to learn about B2B online space and flat steel products, including its application in various industries and consumption segments. 
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and other reporting tools
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale projects, such as facility setups or technology rollouts 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective team collaboration. 
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Production or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Master's degree in logistics or operations management is a plus.
