Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team with a focus on bookkeeping and managing financial records in line with Indian accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial processes, and compliance with Indian taxation and accounting laws.
In this role, you will assist in maintaining accurate financial documentation, processing transactions, and supporting the preparation of financial statements for statutory reporting.
 
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other key financial statements, in line with Indian accounting standards (IND AS).
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements and accounts to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS, and other tax-related filings, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws.
- Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle data entry for financial transactions on accounting software, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Monitor financial transactions for irregularities and work to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with external audits, providing necessary financial documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Indian financial regulations.
 
Qualifications & Skills :
- Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably within India.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or others commonly used in Indian accounting.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting principles, including GST, TDS, income tax, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with data entry of financial transactions into accounting systems.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
