Job Description:
What you’ll do:
- Coordinates and leads engagement planning process (under the supervision of Supervisor, Manager, or Partner), including scheduling of planning meetings and fieldwork, discussions with appropriate client and team personnel to understand client's current business activity, design of test work procedures, audit program preparation, review of business agreements, etc.
- Performs more difficult or complex procedures, such as the evaluation of accounting reserves, inventory valuation and obsolescence, deferred income taxes, revenue recognition, complex income tax accruals, etc.Supervises and reviews work of Staff Accountants
- Assist on identifying audit and accounting issues and resolving them
- Communicate progress of engagements, issues and resolutions to client
- Assists in presenting financial statements and management letters to clients at wrap-up meetings
- Monitors engagement budget and alerts supervisor of potential concerns and suggests fee modification actions
- Monitors staff performance and alerts supervisor of training or development needs
Skills :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in public accounting
- Excellent technical skills
- Proficient in the use of computers, accounting software, and tax software programs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to train and supervise staff in accounting, auditing, software skills, etc.
- Ability to perform under time pressures and meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic, honest and ethical
