Business Analyst
Job Description:
Role Summary:
The Business Analyst will collaborate with product solutions, development, and testing teams to define requirements and
propose solutions for the functional design, user interface, and workflow of new and enhanced application features. This role also
involves working closely with project managers, scrum masters, and other business units to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
● Liaise with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, test data, and other supplementary materials to initiate development.
● Contribute to the creation and review of non-functional requirements that complement core requirements.
● Develop business requirements in the form of user stories, draft functional specifications, business rules, and acceptance criteria for features.
● Assist in verification and testing to ensure all acceptance criteria are met.
● Maintain a holistic view of the desired end-state for processes, including identifying security risks and compliance considerations.
● Participate in the design, build, and testing of applications that will transform current business processes.
● Apply appropriate business analysis methods, tools, and techniques, including user-centered design and other UI-focused approaches.
● Produce high-level and detailed business models, prepare business cases, and oversee the development and implementation of solutions,
while considering the implications of change on the organization and all stakeholders.
● Collaborate with the product team on requirements and solution design for new features and enhancements to the existing product roadmap.
● Support the BA Lead in sharing Business Analysis concepts and experience with other Business Analysts, fostering a continuous improvement culture within the organization.
What You'll Bring:
● Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
● A minimum of 3 years of industry experience as a Business Analyst.
● Strong technical ability and understanding of software development in an Agile environment.
● Demonstrated experience in agile projects, including methods, practices, tools, and mindset, with a strong delivery and customer-centric focus.
● Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
● Expertise in SMSF Accounting and/or Auditing processes.
● Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks concurrently.
● The capacity to simplify complex problems and articulate them clearly.
● Excellent capability to understand and document business requirements.
● Strong Agile Business Analysis skills, particularly in writing good, testable user stories.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to set and document standards.
● A strong understanding of APIs, Data Modelling, SQL, and Power BI.
● An understanding of SaaS/PaaS and on-premise solutions.
● Knowledge of testing processes and quality control.
● Experience using Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
● Experience using Microsoft Visio or other relevant tools (e.g., Draw.io).
