QA Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to drive quality engineering across mobile applications, APIs and supporting web components. The role will work closely with the Engineering Manager, Mobile App Developer, UI/UX Developer and DevOps Engineer to build reliable, secure and production-ready applications for FinTech and healthcare clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks for Android/iOS mobile applications and APIs.
• Build and maintain functional, regression, integration, API and end-to-end automation suites.
• Validate critical workflows such as digital lending, loan onboarding, authentication, payments and transactions, where applicable.
• Define test strategies, test plans, automation coverage and release-quality assessments.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support quality gates for releases.
• Perform defect analysis and root-cause investigation, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Test application performance, reliability, compatibility and security-sensitive workflows.
• Support production validation, regression testing and release sign-off.
• Continuously improve test coverage, automation stability, execution time and maintainability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7 years of QA/testing experience with strong automation exposure.
• Strong hands-on experience in mobile application testing and API testing.
• Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication mechanisms and database validation.
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum and defect management.
• Experience with Git and test reporting/test management tools.

Good to Have

• FinTech experience across lending, payments, banking or financial applications.
• Healthcare application testing experience involving sensitive data and high-reliability environments.
• Exposure to performance, security or accessibility testing.
• Cloud testing experience and familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP.

Domain Context

The team supports technology products for FinTech and healthcare clients. Relevant exposure may include digital lending, payments, financial workflows, enterprise healthcare applications, sensitive data and high-reliability production environments.

Working Model

The role reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of a lean, cross-functional mobile engineering team. The role requires close collaboration across Engineering, QA, DevOps, UI/UX and Product teams.
