Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in steel and industrial markets
- Generate leads and acquire new OEMs, manufacturers, and industrial clients
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key and new customers
- Promote and sell steel products, including CRCA, HR, GP, GC, and coated coils/sheets
- Manage the complete sales cycle: enquiry generation, quotation, negotiation, order finalization, and post-sales follow-up
- Drive new lead generation activities, market visits, and client acquisition initiatives
- Conduct regular market surveys and competitor analysis (pricing, demand trends, strategies)
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and revenue growth objectives
- Prepare MIS reports, sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and business development reports
- Coordinate with production, supply chain, and logistics teams for timely order execution
- Ensure timely payment collections and maintain healthy credit cycles
- Work closely with Key Account Management (KAM) and internal sales teams for account penetration and upselling
- Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and presentations when required
Required Skills
- Strong experience in B2B sales and business development, preferably in the steel or industrial sector
- Proven ability in lead generation and converting prospects into long-term customers
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Good understanding of steel products and processing (CRCA, HR, GP, GC, coated coils)
- Strong relationship-building skills with OEMs and large industrial clients
- Ability to coordinate with production, logistics, and supply chain teams
- Strong analytical skills and market research capability
- Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems is preferred
- Target-driven mindset with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Experience
- 3–8 years in B2B sales/business development
- Experience in steel trading, steel service centres, or manufacturing industries
- Exposure to OEM and industrial key account handling will be an advantage
