Job Description:
- Monitors and directs the day-to-day activities of tool crib.
- Conduct process capability studies to assure efficient use of equipment, tools, and fixtures.
- Maintain tooling, equipment and fixtures in accordance with standard operating procedures and predetermined plans.
- Promote safe practices by instructing operators on the proper set-up and operation of equipment as well as ensuring equipment guards are installed to manufacturers’ specifications.
- Participate in cost estimate process for assembly labor rates and application tooling/fixtures.
- Conduct process capability studies to assure efficient use of equipment, tools, and fixtures.
- Prepare technical data including assembly process work instructions, production analysis, work simplification, value analysis.
- Support development of assembly and test fixtures to aid production in building quality products.
- Respond effectively to manufacturing issues related to product builds to assure assembly design requirements are achieved.
- Develop permanent corrective action with manufacturing to respond to discrepant assembly issues.
- Develop computer aided methods to facilitate and manage functional activities
- Knowledge of CNC, VMC, Lathe Turning, Milling machine
