Job Description:

As the Assistant Director/Director of Sports/NCC/NSS, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing various sports, National Cadet Corps (NCC), and National Service Scheme (NSS) activities within the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategies to promote physical fitness, leadership, and community engagement among students or employees. You will work closely with the Director and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of sports, NCC, and NSS programs.

 Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive plans and strategies to enhance sports, NCC, and NSS activities within the organization.
  2. Coordinate and oversee the scheduling of sports events, NCC camps, and NSS activities.
  3. Liaise with coaches, trainers, and instructors to ensure the availability of necessary resources and facilities for sports training and events.
  4. Organize and conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants in sports, NCC, and NSS programs.
  5. Monitor the progress and performance of participants in various sports and leadership activities.
  6. Collaborate with external agencies, sports federations, and community organizations to organize inter-school/inter-college tournaments, NCC rallies, and NSS campaigns.
  7. Maintain records and documentation related to sports achievements, NCC/NSS participation, and other relevant activities.
  8. Provide guidance and support to students or employees participating in sports, NCC, and NSS programs.
  9. Promote a culture of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among participants.
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and guidelines related to sports, NCC, and NSS activities.
  11. Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in the field of physical education, sports management, and youth development.

Qualifications:

  1. PhD in Physical Education or related field.
  2. Master's degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) is required.
  3. Previous experience in coordinating sports, NCC, or NSS activities is highly desirable.
  4. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Knowledge of sports administration, event management, and coaching techniques.
