General Manager - B2B Sales
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic General Manager in sales with extensive experience in solution selling and a proven track record in B2B sales leadership. This role requires a strong understanding of P&L management and business operations, along with the ability to lead and inspire a sales team of 6-8 members. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, conducting client visits, and executing comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and foster sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement visionary sales strategies to surpass monthly revenue targets and achieve volume goals.
- Provide effective leadership, aligning the team with company objectives and contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Negotiation:
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, leveraging negotiation skills to tailor the company’s offerings to evolving client needs.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
- Key Account Management:
- Oversee strategic key account management to secure repeat business and maximize customer wallet share through cross-selling opportunities.
- Business Intelligence and Process Optimization:
- Analyze the customer funnel to extract actionable business intelligence, focusing on reducing acquisition costs and enhancing customer loyalty.
- Drive enhancements in sales processes to optimize conversion rates, championing a customer-centric approach within the team.
- P&L Management:
- Prepare and manage the P&L, ensuring a thorough understanding of business operations and financial metrics to drive profitability and growth.
- Client Visits:
- Conduct regular client visits to build and strengthen relationships, gather feedback, and identify growth opportunities.
- Solution Selling:
- Utilize solution selling techniques to address client needs effectively, ensuring that the company’s offerings align with customer requirements and drive sales success.
- End-to-End Process Ownership:
- Ensure seamless coordination across departments to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Regularly review sales performance to inform strategy and team development.
Qualifications:
- 12-15 years of B2B sales leadership experience, with a focus on solution selling.
- Proven experience in preparing and managing P&L with a solid business understanding.
- Experience managing a sales team of 6-8 members and overseeing an overall team of at least 20.
- Demonstrated success in a regional head role, preferably in industries with short sales cycles (Steel, Building Material, e-commerce, Manufacturing).
- MBA from a Tier 2/3 institution is preferred.
